This Privacy Policy explains how WELLIX APPS TECHNOLOGIES - FZCO collects, uses, and protects information in connection with its website (wellix.io) and the Wellix Meals application. This document is provided as a working version pending final legal review.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as account details and the dietary preferences you set, along with information generated as you use the app (for example, saved recipes, meal plans, and grocery lists).
2. How we use information
Information is used to provide and personalize meal-planning features, generate grocery lists, maintain your account, respond to support requests, and improve the reliability of the service.
3. Nutrition and preference data
Dietary preferences, allergens, favorites, and ratings are used to tailor meal suggestions. This information is used for personalization and is not used to make medical determinations. You should not enter sensitive medical information unless you choose to, and you remain responsible for managing your own allergies and dietary restrictions.
4. Account data
Account data such as your identifier and settings is retained while your account is active so that your preferences persist across devices.
5. Device and app diagnostics
We may collect limited diagnostic information to detect crashes and improve app stability. Diagnostic data is handled in aggregate where possible.
6. Third-party services
We may use third-party service providers for hosting, analytics, payments, app distribution, and customer support, under appropriate agreements. A list of processors will be maintained here. [Placeholder pending final legal review.]
7. Data retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described, or as required by applicable law.
8. International data transfers
We operate from the United Arab Emirates and may process information in other countries where our service providers operate. Where we do, we take steps intended to protect your information consistent with this policy.
9. Children
The service is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) unless permitted with verifiable parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without such consent.
10. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can export or delete your data from in-app settings. See the Delete Account page for details.
